Announcement to all Lebanese Citizens residing in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland

Concerning their vote in the Upcoming 2017 Parliamentary Elections

The ministry of Interior and Municipalities is currently undertaking the necessary arrangements that will enable Nationals residing in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland to vote to the upcoming 2017 Parliamentary Elections at the Lebanese Embassy in London.

In compliance with Law Number 25 dated 10/08/2008, in particular article number 114,

The Lebanese Embassy calls on all Lebanese citizens residing in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland who wish to cast their vote in the upcoming Lebanese Parliamentary elections in 2017 to proceed as follows:

“For those willing to vote in London, they should register their names by appearing in person* at the Lebanese Embassy in London, providing all required information related to their identity and number of civil registry”

In order to qualify to vote, the listing procedure must be fulfilled by no later than December 2016.

It is worth mentioning that there are two approved identification documents that can be used to vote:

1-      The national Identity card (new edition)

2-      A valid passport



*If the individual is unable to appear in person at the Embassy in London, they can fill out the attached affidavit and have it notarized at a notary public and then send it to the Embassy with a copy of their Lebanese Identity Document (Identity card and passport).
